O Lord, my best friend, protect and liberate us. You who are in the form of Mithras – the Giver of prana and light, Varuna – Lord of the Universe and guardian of cosmic laws, and Arjaman – who governs the planets guiding them in their orbits – protect us from all the negative forces of the three tapas and lead us on our path to liberation from all pain, difficulty and obstruction.
Protect us You who are in the form of Indra – Lord of strength and Brihaspati – Keeper of the Holy Word, and grant purity, strength and grace to our prayers, thoughts, words and deeds.
Protect us You who are in the form of Vishnu – merciful. Maintain the universe and direct our steps to where we are safe from disaster.
I adore You, O Brahman, who is the highest Self, and I greet with reverence You who are in the form of Vaju – the prana that gives life. You are reality and truth, O God, I worship and know You as omnipresent, the only supreme Brahman.
I worship and know You who are in the form of Rta – the God of the seasons, thanks to whose prana everything grows and succeeds. You are the highest truth. You lead us from ignorance to knowledge.
Protect us, O Lord, and grant us your mercy.
Protect also my Master, who transmitted these holy words to me.
Om peace, peace, peace.

Maha Mrityunjaya mantra

Rig Veda 7.59.12
Jađur Veda, Shri Rudra Prashnaha (Rudrino pitanje) iz Taittirija Upanišade

ॐ त्र्यम्बकं यजामहे सुगन्धिंम् पुष्टिवर्धनम् ।
उर्वारुकमिव बन्धनान् मृत्योर्मुक्षीय मामृतात् ।।

Om trjambakaṁ jađāmahe sugandhiṁ pušṭi-vardhanam ǀ
urvārukam-iva bandhanān mṛtjormukšīja māmṛtāt ǁ

Om we worship and adore you three eyed, Shiva. You are the sweet scent of life that nurtures and strengthens us. As when, at the right time, a ripe melon is freed from the stems (with the help of the gardener), so it frees us from attachment and death, and gives us liberation and immortality.

Maha in Sanskrit means great, mritju means death, and jaja is victory. The Maha Mritjun Jaya mantra leads to immortality, victory over death through moksha (liberation from the cycle of birth and death). That is why it is also known as the “moksha mantra”. On the way to ultimate freedom, moksha, this mantra removes the fear of death, obstacles in life and protects.
